Detail itinerary

Day : 01 Dakshinkali

Start the tour at 8 am in the morning. Drive to the temple of Kali, which is named by Dakshinkali, which is a power center for the Hindu followers. After reaching temple, walk for about 10 minutes observing the temple adjacent to the river there. It is a sacred temple for Hindu followers who come there for offerings with flowers, coconuts, etc.

Day : 02 Pharping

Later, drive to Pharping, a place for multiple monasteries and also the famous landmark of Asura Cave. This cave in particular is a pilgrimage route for the Buddhist followers. This is also the cave where the Mahaguru of Tibetan Buddhism; Guru Rompoche meditated. Meditation with a mantra can be practiced in the same cave. After the meditation, walk to the middle of the hill for the view and decend the stairs for next location. This location offers the visit of monasteries based on their timings. Some of the monasteries are Aani monastery, a monastery for female Buddhist monks, Neydo monastery where Buddhist monks do prayers and offerings.

Day : 03 Kirtipur

Finally, drive to Kirtipur, this is a medieval time Newari village built on top of a hill. This is the city of glory being an autonomous village before the history of modern Nepal. The interesting sites to visit here is Chilaicho Stupa, Bagh Bhairab and old town built on top of the hill. Having a Newari lunch in one of the restaurants gives an authentic taste of the food in this region. From the location, a view of Himalayas, city of Kathmandu and fertile farmland can be seen. It has a glorious history regarding the bravery of people in order to defend their city from the invasion.
