History of Buddha
Here is one of the long history of Buddha, according to the Jatakas. Mahasattva was one of the Buddha Shakyamuni former incarnations where he was the youngest of the three sons of the King Maharatha. One day while three brothers walking in the forest they suddenly saw a tigress with the five cubs. She was not able to feed their cubs properly. After seeing them the Prince’s move from there but the Youngest Prince Mahasattva goes back. And started to cut his flesh to give it to the tigress to eat. When the other two princes have come to see they found only the bone & hair. So, due to this incident, the Stupa was built on the top.
