Overview

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra | Luxury Lhasa – Ali Route

Ministry of External Affairs organizes this Kailash Mansarovar Yatra during June to September each year through two different routes - Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand),and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY) is known for its religious value and cultural significance. It is undertaken by hundreds of people every year.

Being significant to Hindus as the abode of Lord Shiva, it holds religious importance also for the Jains and the Buddhists. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is open to eligible Indian citizens, holding valid Indian passports, who wish to proceed to Kailash-Manasarovar for religious purposes. Ministry of External Affairs does not provide any subsidy or financial assistance to Yatris. Meanwhile, The best Trekking Agency in Nepal is only one top trekking company which is Global Treks and Expedition.

According to Hindu Mythology, lake Mansarovar was first created by Lord Brahma in his mind, after which it materialized on Earth. Thus in Sanskrit, it is known as 'Manasarovar' which is the combination of the words 'Manasa Sarovaram' which means 'mind' and 'lake'.

Kailash Mansarovar History:

Every great thing has an even greater history behind it, whether it’s a historical Human being or a historical monument. Every significant thing has something to recollect from the past and so does the great Kailash Mansarovar. The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is believed to one of the toughest Yatra of the Himalaya. It is believed that the amazing peace and purity that one experiences on seeing and circumambulating Kailash Parvat Temple is a matter of experience itself. Sitting at the Centre of the great Himalayas catching all the attention, the Kailash Mansarovar is a pilgrimage uniting multiple faiths. There are chains of Kailash Parvat stories related to its 4 different religions. All four religions which are Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon religion have momentous stories related to the pristine Mount Kailash.

Kailash Parvat History:

The Hindu mythology gives Kailash Parvat Story in which Mount Kailash has tremendous significance, importance, and acknowledgement, whether it is the Purans or the Vedas. Kailash Mansarovar is considered to be the home of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati along with Devtas, Ganas, Yakshas, Yogis, Siddha Purushas, and Gandharvas. Kailash Mansarovar Trip is your gateway to salvation. It is said that Shiva the lord of destruction and regeneration sits at the peak of the mountain and meditates there. People can feel the presence of Lord Shiva on Mount Kailash. Kailash Parvat history in Hindi text - Skanda Purana( a Supreme Hindu text) states Kailash Parvat as a Supreme Mountain where Lord Shiva resides, hence it is known as Kailash Mountain Shiva or Mount Kailash Shiva.

The Majestic Parvat Kailash is not just known for its peculiar shape or hugeness, but it is symbolized as the spiritual centre of the Earth. As found in one of the descriptions in the Puranas, It is termed the pillar of the world with a height of 84,000 leagues and is located at the heart of six mountain ranges symbolizing a lotus. It is also believed that the four rivers flowing from Kailash which are the Sutlej, Brahmaputra, Karnali, and Indus divide the world into four parts. Also, the rock-cut temple Ellora in Maharashtra is named after Kailash.

Many of its sculptures depict the stories of Shiva and Parvati, including the incident when Ravana tried to shake the great Kailash. As it was the home of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the mountain expounds the philosophy of Purusha and Prakriti which is Shiva and Shakti. The radiant Silvery summit is the throne of Truth, Wisdom, and Bliss-Sachidanandam.
