To go in a long arduous journey, typically on foot is generally known as trekking. In other words we can explain trekking as to go on a hike or a journey by walking on foot for multiple days through the ruler and undeveloped villages and through the mountain areas along with crossing the lovely mountain villages, forests and national parks and getting into the knowledge of the locally celebrated festivals as well as the culture of those people living in those areas. Trekking is done especially in the risky mountain areas so that trekker will gain more knowledge that is adventurous with the real life scenario in the mountain areas and rural village areas. Trekking is done or organized by the group or established company that are authorized for it. There are lots of things that are to be noted while trekking that’s why only authorized people are active in organizing such kind of activities. There are two kinds of trekking:

  1. Tea house trekking and
  2. Camping trekking

Tea house trekking:

Tea hose trek is cheep and easy kind of trekking in comparison to the camping trekking. Tea house trek means the trek done by eating and sleeping at tea house / guest house where the Tea house are available for sleep and already setup by the villager for providing the service to the clients. The only difference on this kind of trek is that visitors or clients get food and sleeping places prepared by the tea house/guest house staff.

Camping trekking:

I t is little sophisticated type of trekking than tea house trekking because trek organizer or we have to carry all the trek requirements from here Kathmandu. All the things such as foods and sleeping bags are always required to carry during the whole trek trip. In this kind of trekking you are provided by the food that is prepared by your own colleague or trekking guide.

Trekking can be done all over the world but it is especially done in the mountain areas. Trekking is not easy as much as we think it to be. There are lots of things that are to be done before trekking such as taking the route pass as the rule of Nepal’s government. Trekking destination and the altitude will depend on the destination choose by the trekkers/clients. In Nepal trekking can be done from 500 meters up to 6000 meters from sea level.
