In addition to these Nepal trekking after a descent hike from Ghorepani, you will reach Poonhill, which affords brilliant, amazing, and beautiful view of both Dhaulagiri Ranges and Annapurna Ranges. You will also see Fishtail Mountain, as well as, the mountain ranges bathing in sunlight. Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Global Treks Nepal Representative will welcome at the Kathmandu Airport with banner and drop them at the hotel. After check in at hotel and refreshments GTN office management personal and a guide will formally introduce them and provide a trip details to briefing. You should submit 2 passport size photos plus a copy of their passport and copy of travel insurance to the office personal . Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02- Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
After breakfast we will conduct a guided tour and introduction to our rich culture and fascinating history. You will visit with our guide of these places Swayambhunath,Pashupatinath , Budhanath and Durbarsquare.
Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath is Monkey temple which is approximately 2600 years old Buddhist Stupas, overlooking the entire Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath- literally ‘self-existent god’, is often referred to as the Monkey Temple due to the thousends of monkeys- the local dwellers. The main Stupa, memorials of monks and local people, ancient sculptures, temple of child protector goddess, monasteries, etc are the main attractions here. Moreover, you can throw bird-eye-view to all the monument sites of the Kathmandu tour since this is the highest point inside the valley.
Pashupatinath : Pashupatinath temple which is In We literally- the god of animal lives. As one of the must visit legendary Hindu temple in the subcontinent, this site welcomes millions of visitors every year. The temple is located on the bank of sacred Bagmati River, which runs down to the Ganges. Here, you get a chance to witness open public crematorium with all the rites and rituals being performed. You come to see even the holy men posing for pictures with painted face, dreadlocked hair and ash-applied body
Budhanath : Budhanath stupas is god of wisdom. It is considered as one of the largest Stupas in the world. Constructed back in the 4th century, this Stupa is the must visit site for the Tibetans. The shrine itself resembles a Tibetan village since the locale comprises Tibetan monasteries and the exiles. Besides this, there are a number of painting schools with Lamas painting Thanka, the best souvenirs from Nepal.
Kathmandu Durbar square: Kathmandu Durbar Square is Etymologically, ‘Kumari’ stands for a virgin girl- the living goddess and ‘Baha’ is a monastery in local tongue. Designed in Vihara architecture, Kumari Baha houses the living goddess. As a living reincarnation of Hindu goddess Taleju, a young girl is selected from a Buddhist family maintaining religious harmony and co-existence. The girl gets retired when she reaches puberty.
Day 03 – Drive to Pokhara (900 m) by tourist bus – 7-8 hrs
Today early morning our trekking staff will pick you up at the hotel at 6:30am and escort. You move Pokhara by private transport from Kathmandu- Pokhara. If you will go by publish bus,bus leaves at around 7:30am for pokhara. You cross the Trisuli valley Village and more hills. After 7/8 hours drive you will arrive a beautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara is also known for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu, hence providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 04 – Drive to Nayapul (1,010m) – 1.5 hr. Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570m) – 3-4 hrs
We begin our trek from Nayapul after a 1.5-hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015m) a large village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570m. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy day, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region during the journey which allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 05 – Trek to Ghorepani (2,840m) – 5-6 hrs
Today we move from Tikhedunga towards the steep climb to Ulleri, Ulleri is a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070m. The trail then continues to ascends more gently from this point, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2,250m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460m. After another hour of walk we arrive, at Ghorepani (2,840m). Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 06 – Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m); and onto Tadapani (2,610m) – 6-7 hrs
Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3,210m, a brilliant mountain range spectacle , panoramic views of Himalayas, this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend an hour, then returning to Ghorepani we take a hot and sweets breakfast at a hotel. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960m). After that we descend to the Banthanti, then turning off to Tadapani. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 07 – Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m) – 4-5 hrs
Today we begin from Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk, a village of Gurung people, Gurung People is one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. They have their own dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is a famous destination for trekkers as it is known for its beautiful mountain views and also because it’s within nearest from Pokhara and Kathmandu so is called short treks. At afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation Office, museums and explore the village. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 08 – Trek to Nayapul (1,010m) and drive to Pokhara and same day guided tour of pokhara.
Today, from Ghandruk we descend to Syauli Bazaar From syauli Bazaar it is a pleasant short walk following the river to Birethati 1040 m where we cross the bridge. A short walk from the village brings us to the road at Naya Pull where we take short drive back to Pokhara. After reaching pokhara, the half day guided tour consist of visiting beautiful places like Fewa lake , tal Barahi by boating , Devil’s water fall, Tibetan refugee settlement camp and Gupteshower cave on a private vehicle. You will have a relaxing afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 – Drive back to Kathmandu (1,345m) and farewell dinner
After breakfast in the morning, you say good bye pokhara and You have the option to extend your trip to continue onto Chitwan jungle safari, rafting adventure in trisuli River, Kathmandu valley shopping tour, scenic Everest flight, mountain biking and other activities. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. (Your guide(s) and an office staff will accompany with you.) Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 10 – Transfer to the international airport for your final departure
The trip concludes today. Our airport representative will drop you at the international airport in Kathmandu for your flight departure from Nepal.
